It can be an endless task an not always the best use of your time.If you want to really get into Hendrix style I would maybe suggest trying out the Licklibrary DVD’s. I think he’s playing just a mix of riffs, licks, half chords and bass notes with his thumb but I think he’s hooking right over to the fifth string sometimes, so it’s mostly root with the chord.
