I have done every step known to the computer world, and it does not help. I would have put this one at step #2, right after restarting the App. Step 2: Look for the problematic application. If the Pages versions are very different (one very old, one very new) you will often run into compatibility issues with documents. So glad I already own an Android phone and have not ever bought those over priced an iPhone. Not saving a file is not crashing, that suggests incompatibility however, perhaps due to versions, especially if you have to save to older version.
